Threads of Hope

Millions of hard working home-based workers in Nepal – the majority of them women – are the driving force of the local business. They produce products for both domestic and global markets across many industries. However, due to the lack of education and the formal recognition by the government, they have very little to no access to social protection or other vital benefits.

Nearly all of them remain invisible even to today. In this documentary, three incredibly inspiring Nepali women will show what is it like to be a home-based worker in Nepal, and the battles each of them has to fight for their future.
